Preserving the Historical Imprint of the Brick Kiln | An Educational Vision of 'No Waste, No One Left Behind'

Tongtai School is located in Ningjin County, Hebei Province, funded by a socially responsible local enterprise. It encompasses comprehensive educational facilities ranging from kindergarten, elementary, and middle school to high school. The campus provides dormitories, dining halls, indoor and outdoor sports fields, and an adjacent auditorium, with a total construction area of approximately 60,000 square meters.

童泰学校位于河北省宁晋县, 由一家富有社会责任感的当地企业出资兴建, 包含从幼儿园、小学到初中、高中的全程教育设施，并为师生提供宿舍、餐厅和室内外运动场，以及一座邻近的礼堂，总建筑面积约6万平米。

The school is situated next to a pit left by an abandoned brick kiln, making the moderate ecological restoration and positive utilization of this site a key focus of the project's design. The historical imprint of the brick kiln has also become the inspiration for the red brick architectural style of the school and the overall enterprise park. We actively explore spatial and functional innovations for international school architecture in the new era, rationally reflecting on how current school design standards can adapt to new educational reforms. The project aims to create a convenient platform for sharing resources between the school and the community, while redefining architectural identity and urban spatial connections within the specific context of the brick kiln's heritage.

童泰学校紧邻一座废弃砖窑遗留下来的矿坑，对它的适度生态修复和正面合理利用是本次项目场地设计的重要着手点。而砖窑的历史印记也成为这个学校项目以及整体企业园区红砖建筑形象的渊源。我们积极探讨新时代国际学校建筑类型的空间和功能上的创新，理性探索反思现行学校设计规范如何适应新的教育模式改革，为学校与社区之间便利搭建共享资源平台，以及在一个特定砖窑文脉的场地环境中，重塑建筑形象和城市空间上的联系。
