从“脏乱差”到“新地标” ｜重新连接激发城市活力

Wangjing Alley is located in the Wangjing area of Chaoyang District, Beijing, adjacent to the west side of Dashan Bridge on the Airport Expressway. It connects to Wangjing Street in the north and Furong Street in the south, spanning over 360 meters in length and approximately 40 meters in width. The north and south sides of the alley are flanked by Vanke Times Center and Fangheng Shopping Center, respectively.

望京小街位于北京朝阳区望京片区临近机场高速大山桥西侧，北连望京街，南通阜荣街，全长360余米，宽约40米，南北两侧为万科时代中心和方恒购物中心。

Constructed over a decade ago, Wangjing Alley had gradually aged, with its commercial offerings increasingly misaligned with current demands. The road surface had deteriorated, and the daily presence of around 400 haphazardly parked shared bicycles, coupled with the constant rush of delivery vehicles, significantly impaired basic traffic flow and accessibility to surrounding businesses. The dispersed property ownership on both sides of the alley, nearly a thousand merchants, and the large local population further complicated the soft interface renovation. In terms of commercial formats, space management, and service quality, the gap between the alley and the overall atmosphere of the Wangjing area, as well as the needs of local residents, continued to widen.

After more than two years of planning and design, followed by five months of renovation, Wangjing Alley reopened in August 2021. With its fashionable, artistic, and international characteristics, it has become one of Beijing's most popular commercial districts, transforming from a 'dirty, chaotic, and poor' area into a 'new landmark.'

望京小街建成于十多年前，改造前的小街整体空间愈渐老旧，商业层次与当前的实际需求产生了错位。小街道路日渐破损、加之日均400辆共享单车的无序“蹲点”，外卖快递车分秒必争的飞驰，基本的通行功能大打折扣，周边商业的可达性也受到了影响。而小街两侧分散的产权，近千家商户以及附近诺大的人口基数，更为小街的软性界面改造增添了难度。在商业业态、空间管理、服务品质等方面，小街与望京地区整体的氛围及周边居民的需求差距越来越大。这条历史十几年的小街，在经历两年多的规划设计以及五个月的改造施工后，在2021年8月重新亮相，以时尚、艺术、国际化的特色成为北京最热门的商圈之一，完成了从“脏乱差”到“新地标”的改造提升。
